The Mitsuoka Orochi formed in February 1968 is a Japanese sports car and became established in October 1979 famed in 2001 as a concept car built by Mitsuoka Motors. Appearing in 2003 and 2005 with updates to the design, finally offered for sale in late 2006 as a 2007 model, takes its name from the mythical Yamata no Orochi 8-headed Japanese dragon.

Based on the Honda NSX platform for the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show, the Orochi was originally built in 2001 as a concept car. Unveiling a new version “The Orochi Nude-Top Roadster” displayed at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show. The production version of the Orochi with powered by the 3.3 litre 230 hp (172 kW) Toyota 3MZ-FE V6 engine officially launched in October 2006. Kabuto, the special variant of the Orochi launched in September 2007. Mitsuoka Motors announced the Orochi Zero On January 30, 2008 with production limited to just 20 units and were able to reduce the price by offering limiting available options such as only one color.
