Land Rover based in Solihull, England is a 4x4, SUV vehicle. On 30 April 1948, launched as a pioneering civilian all-terrain utility vehicle at the Amsterdam Motor Show, but was later used as a brand of four-wheel drive.

The Land Rover brand developed first as a marque, then as a separate company; now surviving is one of the longest four-wheel drive brands. Under a succession of owners, including British Leyland, British Aerospace and BMW, company developing a range of four-wheel drive capable vehicles. The company was sold by BMW to the Ford Motor Company in 2002. Ford sold its Jaguar in June 2008 and now operated as a part of Tata Motors of India.
