AUDI AG, a German world’s leading performance luxury cars company founded in 1910, which generally known as Audi with headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria which was entirely owned by the Volkswagen Group since 1964. Audi name was re-launched as part of the Volkswagen Group. The historic Audi Company evolved from VW's takeover of both Auto Union, and NSU. Audi started with a 2,612 cc (2.6 litre) 4 cylinder model followed by a 3564 cc (3.6 L) model, as well as 4680 cc (4.7 L) and 5720 cc (5.7L) models. In 1924, the first six cylinder model 4655 cc (4.7 L) appeared and cars were successful even in sporting events.

Audi became the first German car manufacturer to present a production car with left-hand drive to provide better view of oncoming traffic in September 1921. Audi cars of that era were luxurious cars equipped with special bodywork. Audi merged with Horch, DKW and Wanderer to form Auto Union in 1932. Before 2nd World War, representing the 4 brands to make up the Audi badge today, Auto Union used the four interlinked rings. In 1988 with the Trans-Am, they chose to move first in America as Audi moved away from rallying and into circuit racing.
